Garlock–CP converts rollstock in-house into premade pouches. Reclosability can also be built directly into rollstock through peel-and-reseal labels or integrated zippers, so form-fill-seal customers get that feature without new equipment. For shrink and stretch sleeves, seams are placed during prepress so the graphics stay undistorted and the finished sleeve sits perfectly circular, while roll-fed labels follow the simplest path of all, needing only slitting to the same tight tolerance as every other format.

 

Pouch Making

GCP Flex converts rollstock in-house into premade pouches. 

• 2-side or 3-side seal flat pouch

• K-seal bottom stand-up pouch

• Round-bottom (Doypack) stand-up pouch

• Closure options including: spouts, press-to-close zippers, and sliders

• Value-added features including: handles, valves, and clear windows 

This stage can include slitting, pouch converting, and sometimes laser scoring or spout insertion. 

 

Slitting & Rewinding

• Varying slit widths available

• Master rolls up to 60″ wide slit to finished-roll specification

• Tight tolerance slitting to minimize waste and maximize efficiency

• Clean, consistent edges ensuring optimal performance on your packaging lines

This process involves taking master rolls and slitting them into several smaller finished rolls. The width, diameter, and rewind direction of these finished rolls will precisely match the specifications of the packaging equipment on which it will be run.

There’s no room for error during this process. Precise, accurate slitting is absolutely vital to the finished quality of your packaging. We use state-of-the-art slitters and experienced operators to ensure the finished slit rolls meet your specifications exactly.
